Clio for Clients

Clio for Clients is a secure online portal designed to help you communicate and share documents with our firm.  With the portal you can stay on top of your communications with our office, have access to your trust documents*, see all calendar events, and view and pay your invoices.

To open an existing portal please use the button below. The system will ask for your email address and will then send a link to log into your portal to your email address.  Please note, it may take a few minutes to receive the email from the system. If you do not receive an email after 15 minutes please contact our office.

Client Portal Log In

Getting Started with Your Client Portal

  1. You will receive an email from our firm with the subject line: New Message from Poyner Law Firm
  2. Open the email and click on the blue button that says: Open Secure Portal
  3. Once you have clicked on the button, you will be in your portal and can start your communication with our office.
  4. You can access the portal anytime using the mobile app (search: Clio for Clients in your app marketplace) or by visiting our website and clicking on the “Client Portal Log In” button at the top of this page.

How to Navigate Multiple Cases

If you have multiple cases, you can easily switch between them from the client portal.

Web Browser Users

  1. Click Menu.

  2. Click Switch case.

Mobile App Users

  1. Tap the Briefcase icon in the top right.

    The briefcase icon will only appear once you have more than one case.

How to Set Up a Privacy Lock

You can set up Face ID or fingerprint identification to make logging into the mobile app faster and more secure.

  1. Go to the My Case screen and tap the Settings icon in the upper right corner.

  2. Tap Set up privacy lock with Face ID or fingerprint.

  3. If prompted, authorize Clio for Clients to use Face ID or fingerprint and tap OK.

How to Send Documents

Clio for Clients makes it easy to access, send, and review your case documents.

Web Browser Users

  1. Select the Documents tab.

  2. Click Send document.

  3. Click Attach document and select one or more files.

  4. (Optional) Add a message.

  5. Click Send.

Mobile App Users

  1. Tap Send document on the main screen.

  2. Choose how you will upload the file(s): scan, take a photo, or select from your phone.

  3. Select one or more files.

  4. (Optional) Add a message or update the file name.

  5. Tap Send.
